Let’s get started using toddle 💪

Create a new project

When creating a new project you have two options:

1. Create a project from scratch

2. Use one of the provided templates

In either case, creating a new project is done by pressing the blue “New project” button in the top right corner of your Projects page — or by navigating to “Templates”.

Now select a template to get started. You are able to preview each template by clicking the “Preview” button shown in the lower right corner of each template.

Once you have selected a template, you will need to assign:

• Emoji — we provide a fixed set of emojis — these are just for fun and for locating your project in toddle
• Name — add a suitable name for your new project
• Id — this is for avoiding duplicate projects — if you want to have two projects named the same, you can distinguish them by creating different ids

At the bottom of the window used for creating a new project, you will see a “Preview link”. This is the URL where your project will be located at. Meaning, this is the page where you can see the active version of your web app.

Templates

toddle provides a set of templates for learning purposes and to provide you with a headstart when building new projects.

In the future, you will be able to create and share your own templates.
